Simulation slice.

Temperature slice from a "full-physics" simulation of cosmic ray feedback with ion-neutral damping. The outflow is multiphase, primarily consisting of warm gas.

Animation of the four different physics cases. Each case begins with identical initial conditions. For the first 50 Myr, the simulations are "stirred" with artificial SNe. Then, the artificial SNe are turned off, and the simulations evolve with self-consistent star formation and feedback. Each case produces a different steady-state outflow, both due to cosmic ray feedback affecting star formation and the galactic outflow.
